- Support with strong misgivings; the text for the image says that the child was attending school and merely worked during the summer. While this is obviously labour, it isn't entirely clear whether it is a good example of the sort of child labor refered to in the article - of the sweat shops we now associate with child labour or the sort of child labour which would naturally exclude all possibility of a proper education. -- Oarih 07:09, 2 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I interpreted the wording to mean that school started 4 weeks ago, but that she hadn't been able to attend yet, and wouldn't be able to for 2 more weeks; she lives in Philadelphia while her job is in New Jersey. - Woops, yeah, you're right - the photo was taken September 28th, so she was obviously missing school. I still think it's a bit weak, though, since missing even six weeks of school isn't quite up there with being held out of it entirely as I'm sure some kids are -- Oarih 15:06, 2 Mar 2005 (UTC)
